Laurie Wilson joined First American Title in 2013 to grow and manage the Greater Houston market. Their stand-alone Homebuilder Division is solely dedicated to partnering with new home builders and residential land developers through national reach, regional expertise, local market support and the latest in digital technology solutions like eClose and Remote Online Notary to seamlessly complete new construction home sale closings, raw land acquisitions and lot sellout transactions.

She joined the GHBA in 2003, represents the GHBA as a Texas Association of Builders Director, and is a HOMEPAC Trustee at both the state and local levels.  She served on the GHBA Board of Directors from 2019-2021 and again in 2023 as its Associate VP Officer, and was appointed to the GHBA Executive & Finance Committee in 2023 and 2021.  She has served on the Sales & Marketing Council (SMC) Board since 2005 where she continues to play a key role in flagship events including the Houston’s Best PRISM Awards and the Million Dollar Circle Awards. She is an inaugural Board Member of the new Professional Women in Building (PWB) Council and Chairs its Mentorship Committee. She also serves as a member of the Government Affairs Committee, Volume Builders Committee, Scholarship Committee and Adopt-A-Family Committee.

She is one of the founding/sustaining members of HALO – the HomeAid Amazing Ladies Organization created under Toy Wood’s leadership – and is an avid supporter of Operation Finally Home, an official GHBA charity that builds mortgage-free homes for wounded veterans and their families.

Laurie was honored with GHBA’s C.S. “Bud” Inscho Associate of the Year award in 2022, a Presidential Citation from GHBA Past President, Leslie King, in 2015, and was recognized as SMC Board Member of the Year in 2014 and as SMC Associate of the Year in 2007.
