Description

This educational session covers the recent upcoming changes to the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) Windstorm Program. Beginning September 1, 2020, any new homes constructed, repaired or where additions were made in any of the windstorm designated areas must now comply with 2018 IRC. 

This session will cover:

• Recap of the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) Windstorm program 
• Added inspection requirements for the WPI-2 process 
• New requirements for window protection 
• Windspeed changes and the effects on engineering design 
• Components and cladding changes with the 2018 code
