TDI Windstorm Program Changes effective September 1, 2020
Please come join us for an educational session on the upcoming changes to the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) Windstorm Program presented by Brannon King and Juan Gonzalez, P.E. with DPIS Builder Services and Michael Babin with the Texas Department of Insurance-Windstorm Division. Starting on September 1, 2020 any new homes constructed, repaired or where additions were made in any of the windstorm designated areas must now comply with 2018 IRC.  During this session you will learn about the following:  Recap of the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) Windstorm program; Added inspection requirements for the WPI-2 process; New requirements for Window Protection; Windspeed changes and the effects on engineering design; Components and cladding changes with the 2018 code.
