Content: This course will help you understand the basics and importance of geotechnical testing, forensic and environmental issues and the effects on residential design and construction. Mr. Eastwood will discuss; geotechnical field studies, laboratory testing, data analysis, expansive soils, foundation types, foundations and risks, the effects of trees, quality control, soil stabilization. The presentation will include what is expansive soils, how to treat them for residential design.
