In addition to RVision Homes, this position will provide financial leadership and oversight for our affiliated companies, including Texas Sage and Sun Pools, as well as multiple related LLCs involved in residential construction, land development, and related operations.
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Controller who thrives in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment and can serve as a strategic partner to ownership while managing the day-to-day financial operations of multiple companies.
Position Summary
Our Controller will oversee all accounting, financial reporting, cash management, payroll, human resources administration, banking relationships, and operational financial functions across multiple entities. This individual will play a key leadership role in supporting company growth, profitability, and financial health while ensuring accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and effective financial planning.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience within residential construction, custom home building, commercial construction, land development, or a related industry and possess a strong understanding of job costing, work-in-progress reporting, construction draws, and cash flow forecasting.
This is a full-time, on-site position located in Magnolia, Texas. The Controller will work directly alongside ownership and company leadership to support the financial operations and continued growth of RVision Homes and its affiliated companies.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Leadership & Reporting
Oversee all accounting operations for multiple companies and LLCs
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Manage month-end and year-end close processes
Develop and maintain financial reporting packages for ownership
Monitor company financial performance and provide strategic recommendations
Maintain internal controls and accounting procedures
Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes across all entities
Construction Accounting
Manage and oversee job costing across all projects
Prepare and analyze Work-in-Progress (WIP) reports
Track project profitability and cost variances
Coordinate and manage construction draw requests and lender reporting
Monitor budgets, change orders, and project financial performance
Ensure accurate allocation of costs across projects and entities
Support land acquisition activities including deposit tracking, acquisition funding, takedown schedules, and related cash flow planning
Prepare and analyze production, backlog, profitability, and operational performance reports
Cash Flow & Treasury Management
Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts
Monitor liquidity and working capital requirements
Manage banking relationships and financing activities
Coordinate lender reporting and compliance requirements
Assist ownership with strategic financial planning and capital management
Payroll & Human Resources Oversight
Oversee payroll processing and compliance
Manage employee benefits administration
Support HR policies, onboarding, and employee record management
Ensure compliance with employment regulations and reporting requirements
Prepare and oversee sales commission calculations and payments
Systems & Process Management
Administer and optimize accounting and operational systems
Utilize Buildertrend, QuickBooks, payroll platforms, and other business software
Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement
Implement scalable financial systems to support company growth
Leadership & Collaboration
Serve as a trusted advisor to ownership and executive leadership
Collaborate with project managers, construction teams, and administrative staff
Coordinate with external CPAs, auditors, attorneys, lenders, and consultants
Assist with strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting initiatives
Partner with ownership and operational leaders to drive informed business decisions and improve company performance
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum 5+ years of accounting or financial management experience
Minimum 3–5+ years within:
Custom Home Building
Residential Construction
Commercial Construction
Land Development
Construction-Related Industries
Strong understanding of:
Construction Accounting

Cash Flow Forecasting
Multi-Entity Accounting
Experience managing payroll and HR-related functions
Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
Experience with Buildertrend or similar construction management software
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Preferred
CPA designation
Experience overseeing multiple entities and LLC structures
Experience with lender relationships and construction financing
Experience implementing accounting systems and process improvements
Knowledge of residential development and speculative home building operations
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive salary of $110,000 – $150,000+ based on experience and qualifications
